I live just outside of Orlando, FL so I am lucky enough to have theme parks around. Even if you can’t afford the park tickets, Universal has City Walk and Disney has Downtown Disney. Both have great nightlife, shops and restaurants. A friend and I like to go pool hopping at different resorts and hotels. We like to pretend were guests and walk around to see what they have to offer. At the end of the night, we are back in our own beds. I often find my wanderlust subsides for a short time at least.

    Yes, yes, and yes!

I always say that when I’m traveling, I’m in a “get-stuff-done” mode that isn’t always present when I’m back home in my comfort zone, where all my basic needs are so easily met. When I travel, I have to figure out how to be resourceful – how get myself around, keep my mind and body busy, feed myself, make connections with other people, etc. When I’m home, these things happen by default without much thought.

I think what most fuels my wanderlust is remembering who I am when I’m traveling and wanting to go back to that state – I’m at my best when I’m wandering about in a new place: alert, present, independent, confident, creative, resourceful, energetic, and open to new people and ideas. With that energy alone I can create an entire day and night of adventures without much planning.

I try to remind myself to replicate that state of energy back home. I try to remember every once in a while to set out on a “night (or day) of adventure” and replicate a sequence of events I had on a previous trip. So, I’ll take a cab or Uber out instead of my car, I’ll go to a new restaurant for dinner alone, from there I’ll ask the host/hostess if they have any favorite local bars with live music, and from there I just let the adventure take me.

Traveling for me is much about learning about myself and how the lessons I learn from my adventures can be channeled into my everyday life in order to live with more passion and adventure, even during the most mundane moments!

    • Thank you so much for sharing Deborah! I love the way you expressed this– I couldn’t agree more 🙂

I wanted to make history come alive for Ollie and what better place than in Philadelphia, USA? #MarriottHotelsPartner

Our stay at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown created the perfect opportunity to really explore the heart of this historical city. From the Liberty Bell to Franklin Square, we really dove into the heart and culture of Philadelphia.

After a day of exploring, we were treated with some of Philadelphia’s finest delicacies at Marriott’s Thirteen Restaurant.

We stayed cool on our trip by bowling a few games at Liberty Lanes, the hotel’s on-site, retro bowling alley. Did I mention there was even an arcade??

And after a long day, we were soothed by the many comforts and amenities Marriott has to offer.

Traveling with little ones isn’t always easy, but being a Marriott Bonvoy member truly
makes it so much smoother.

From comfy cribs already in the room to friendly staff who actually get what traveling with a toddler is like, Marriott Hotels takes so much stress off our trips. It’s the little things that make a big difference when you’re on the go with a little one!

Thank you for the stay @MarriottHotels!

Did you know that 1 in 4 flights are delayed or canceled? It’s enough to make you go mad… unless of course you have @airhelp!

AirHelp is a flight & claim tracker app that is a complete lifesaver on travel days helping me...

✔️ Track unlimited flights (no ads, no limits)
✔️ Get real-time updates for gates, terminals, and baggage claim details
✔️ Receive automatic alerts if I’m eligible for flight compensation
✔️ See my travel history log with a built-in travel map (my favorite part)

Honestly, I wish I had this app sooner! It would’ve been a game-changer on long-haul flights with my toddler. Whether you’re a frequent flyer or just planning your next adventure, this is one of the smartest tools you can have on your phone.

Download the @airhelp app today and fly with peace of mind.

This might be the last car seat you’ll ever need 👇

We’ve trusted @cybex_usa since Ollie was a newborn. Through flights, road trips, and every adventure in between, @cybex_usa has been with us around the world.

As a first-time parent, I admittedly went through more car seats than needed. Now, there’s the Callisto G 360. 🙌

It’s designed to work from newborn up to double digits, which means no more swapping seats at different stages.

This seat features 360° rotation, a one-time install, and SensorSafe alerts, making travel days and everyday drives so much easier (and safer!) 💛
